What is PET/CT (FDG)?

PET/CT (FDG) is an advanced nuclear medicine technique used to visualize the metabolic activity of cancer cells. Radioactive glucose, known as FDG, is administered to the body to observe glucose consumption by cells. Since rapidly dividing tumor cells consume FDG at a high rate, these areas stand out in the image.

This method is used for:

Cancer diagnosis

  • Metastasis screening
  • Evaluating response to treatment
  • Radiotherapy planning

PET/CT provides whole-body imaging and increases diagnostic accuracy. The procedure typically takes 1-2 hours and results can be obtained on the same day.

Special English reports are prepared for international patients, and the process is managed with language support.
