What is FAPI PET/CT?
FAPI PET/CT is an innovative nuclear medicine imaging technique that targets fibroblast activation protein (FAP), which is often found in high concentrations in cancer-associated fibroblasts within tumors. By using a radiopharmaceutical labeled with Gallium-68 (Ga-68) or other isotopes that specifically bind to FAP, this method enables precise visualization of a wide variety of tumors, even those that are difficult to detect with conventional PET tracers like FDG.
This method is used for:
FAPI PET/CT offers high-contrast images with low background noise, making it particularly useful in detecting tumors in organs such as the brain, liver, and head & neck region. Results can usually be obtained the next day.
Special English reports are prepared for international patients, and the process is managed with language support.
